The University of Georgia, founded in 1785, is the first state-chartered university in the United States. It is located in Athens, Georgia and has a current student enrollment of 33,831 students. The University comprises of 16 schools and colleges: Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Arts and Sciences, Business, Ecology, Education, Environment and Design, Family and Consumer Sciences, Forestry and Natural Resources, Graduate School, Journalism and Mass Communication, Law, Pharmacy, Public Health, Public and International Affairs, Social Work and Veterinary Medicine.
