Great so far...research is very promising and competetive to get in, I would really advice everyone to participate in basic research atleast, if not, might be pretty easy course and will make no sense to come to USA,.

GRE/ TOEFL. I did not take any classes. There are no cut offs and it is a pretty decent school even though they do not have any cut off standards. I did not take the help of any educational counselling service. City is served by 3 airports, JFK being one of them.

Funding and Scholarships are available if you participate in some form of research activity and perform decently well in the first sem here.

Its a pretty good program. has lotsa of dumb american people, so Indians feel comfortable with the course load. One of the best wireless networks in USA ( was ranked in top 10 actually). Tuition is almost comparable to other private schools (cornell, stanford...).

Rented an apartment. Definitely need to share space, gets overwhelming at times. Difficult to get part-time jobs. Most of the jobs are taken by ABCDs as we call them... so come early + can get jobs if you know people working there…City life is one of the best.. see it to beleive...Summers are hot( 40C), Winters are cold (-20 C). Indian students association is not good at all...do it all by yourselves, no pickups...This school is actually right across Manhattan (NYC), therefore it gets very expensive at times.

Job prospects are Excellent, one of the best reasons you should come here and invest time and money. Yeah, the alumini are pretty active as stevens needs money always...
